This story comprises of three intertwining narratives — each describing the joys and sorrow in the final stretch of a patient’s life. This story inspires viewers to lead a life of hope and optimism.
Bubbly and friendly 12-year old Xiaojia dreams of becoming a stand-up comedian. As she prepares for her first ever stage show while staying at the hospice, her illness takes a turn for the worse and is uncertain if she would be fit enough to perform. She passes away a day before her gig, but Xiaojia’s dream is still fulfilled as Dr Lam broadcasts a video recording of her rehearsals for all hospice staff and patients to enjoy.
Ah Cheng is a hardworking hawker who worries about how his autistic grandson, Ah Wei, will cope alone, after his passing. He records cooking videos of himself as tutorials for Ah Wei to learn from when he is gone. Eventually, Ah Cheng passes on and Ah Wei grows independent enough to take over his grandfather’s business.
Ah Zheng used to be a passionate nurse, but became more jaded with every passing of the patients he took care of. He meets a cheery volunteer, Cindy, who treats patients with the same compassion and enthusiasm like he did in the past. Over time, they fall in love but suddenly, Cindy disappears from his life. He later finds out that she has a terminal illness and had wanted to avoid him. He nevertheless vows to stay by her side and marry her.
